Edoardo Ricci (1936-2010)

He has been: lecturer at the chair of civil procedure law at the Faculty of Law of the Università degli Studi di Milano, professor of civil procedure law at the Faculty of Law of the Università di Modena, professor of civil procedure law at the Faculty of Law of the Università di Torino, professor of bankruptcy law at the Faculty of Law of the Università di Pavia, professor of bankruptcy law and of civil procedure at the Faculty of Law of the Università degli Studi di Milano, and finally emeritus professor at the latter.

He took part to several governmental committees for preliminary works of various law projects, among the others: of the Committee of the so called “Progetto Rognoni” for the reform of the Italian civil procedure code; of the Committee for the reform of the Italian civil procedure code presented by the Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura;  of the Committee for the organic reform of the Italian civil procedure code (the so called “Commissione Tarzia”) and of the Committee for the Law on Factoring (Law n. 52 of 21 February 1991).

Besides, he has been Chairman of the Italian Society of Bankruptcy Studies (SISCO), Chairman of the Arbitration Council of the National and International Arbitration Chamber at the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, member of the Executive Committee of the Civil Procedure Scholars Association, chief director of the journal “Rivista di diritto processuale” and member of the Conselho Internacional of the Brazilian journals “Revista de Processo” and “Genesis. Revista de Direito Processual Civil”.
